Elizabeth Holtzman is Counsel to Herrick, Feinstein, LLP, which she joined after twenty years of distinguished government service.  She served in the United States House of Representatives for eight years and won national attention for her role on the House Judiciary Committee during Watergate.  During her eight years as District Attorney of Kings County (Brooklyn), she successfully argued before the United States Supreme Court, pioneered new strategies for prosecuting various crimes and led the effort to overturn a law permitting removal of blacks from juries.  The only woman ever elected Comptroller of New York City, she made affordable housing a priority.  She also authored a gun manufacturer liability bill that was signed into law.  Ms. Holtzman was appointed by President Clinton to the Nazi and Japanese Imperial War Criminal Records Interagency Working Group, which oversees the declassification of U.S. government Nazi war crimes files.
